Tree Guy Connect connects tree companies with tree guys (climbers, bucket operators and other tree workers). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We never sell your personal information.

What we collect

Account details: your email address and password (stored encrypted), and your mobile number if you give it to us.
Profile details: what you put on your profile, such as your name, town, experience, pay rate, equipment, credentials, photos, and for companies your business details and logo.
Activity on the site: posts, job applications, messages you send through Tree Guy Connect, reviews, and when you last logged in.
How you found us: on your first visit we save a small cookie with the page you landed on, the site that sent you, and any campaign tags in the link, then record it once when you sign up. It holds nothing personal.
Private company details: if a company fills in "About your business" (size, equipment, hiring plans), only our team sees it.
Public business information: for tree companies that haven't claimed their listing yet, we use publicly available information such as the business name, phone, website and service area.

How we use it

To run Tree Guy Connect: show profiles and posts, deliver messages, and let tree companies and tree guys find each other.
To send you emails about your own account, such as a new message or a new review. These are part of using the site.
To help you finish setting up your profile.
To email, call and text you about your account, verification requests, tips, news and updates, only if you've given us permission.
To keep the site safe and prevent fraud and abuse.

What's public

Your profile is public so tree companies and tree guys can find you. Tree guys can choose a confidential profile, which hides their name and photos from the public and search engines. Your email address and mobile number are never shown on your profile.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers that run Tree Guy Connect for us (hosting, our database, and email and text delivery), who may use it only to provide those services, and when the law requires it.

Calls and text messages

If you give us permission, we may call and text the mobile number you gave us about your account, verification requests, tips, news and updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. You can turn this off anytime from your dashboard. Giving permission isn't required to use Tree Guy Connect.We do not share your mobile number or your permission with anyone else for their marketing.

Your choices

Edit your profile anytime from your dashboard.
Turn emails and texts on or off under Contact Preferences on your dashboard.
Use the unsubscribe link in any of our marketing emails, or reply STOP to any text.
Delete your account from your dashboard. This removes your profile, posts and messages.
If your tree company was listed from public information and you'd rather not be, use "Remove this listing" on its page.

Keeping it safe

We protect your information with encryption in transit, secure passwords, and access limited to the people who need it to run the site. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.

Age

Tree Guy Connect is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
